The Learning Resource Management System (LRMS) officially celebrated the successful turnover of the new Library Hub, marking a significant milestone in the city’s commitment to lifelong learning and academic excellence. This achievement serves as a testament to the power of synergy between the local government and education officials, providing a centralized sanctuary for knowledge and innovation. On behalf of the LRMS, organizers expressed their deepest gratitude to City Mayor Hon. Evelyn T. Uy, whose unwavering commitment to education continues to inspire and uplift learning communities.
The success of the ceremony was a collective triumph, made possible by the professional cooperation of key leaders including SDS Jay S. Montealto,CESO VI, ASDS Aurelio A. Santisas, CESO VI,CID Chief Vicente Jose Suarez II, and SGOD Chief Sherlito Sagapsapan. The event also highlighted the vital contributions of Accountant Olga Miranda, the Education Program Supervisors, and Public Schools District Supervisors. This milestone was further solidified by the tireless work of local teachers, Division Section Heads, the dedicated LRMS staff, and the ALS team, whose shared vision transformed the project into a reality.
The establishment of this hub is deeply rooted in the mandates of the Department of Education, particularly DepEd Order No. 6, s. 1998, which institutionalized the library as the "spiritual and intellectual heart of the school," and DO No. 56, s. 2011, which sets the standards for functional school libraries. Furthermore, the facility aligns with the Library Hub Project (DO 64, s. 2009), designed to provide a "warehouse library" that supports the Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP) by making high-quality supplementary learning resources accessible to even the most remote schools. These guidelines ensure that the library serves not just as a storage of books, but as a dynamic teaching-learning center that fosters 21st-century research skills and critical thinking.
More than just a facility, the new Library Hub stands as a symbol of collaboration and hope for quality education. By bringing together diverse personnel with one purpose and one heart, the division has created a lasting resource for future generations that bridges the gap in literacy and provides equitable access to information. As the doors open to this new era of learning, the LRMS extends a heartfelt "Daghang salamat" to everyone who contributed to this transformation, ensuring that the spirit of cooperation continues to drive the mission of providing a library in every community.
