The Schools Division of Dapitan City has officially kicked off the School Heads Leadership Program (SHLP) at the SDO Conference Hall. Running through February and March 2026, the seven-day intensive training brings together 57 current and aspiring school leaders to sharpen their management skills. The initiative aims to align local leadership with the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads, focusing on practical strategies to improve student outcomes and school efficiency across the division.
Participants are engaging in hands-on workshops covering instructional leadership, data-driven interventions, and ethical governance. Rather than focusing solely on theory, each educator is required to develop a Workplace Application Plan (WAP) to be implemented in their respective schools. By equipping these leaders with advanced tools for financial and operational management, the program ensures that the benefits of the training reach the classroom level, fostering a more organized and effective learning environment for the community.
